How do I know if I need a new heater or air conditioner? Consideration needs to be made based on the age of your equipment, the cost of the repairs, and the likelihood of future failures as to whether a new system is the better choice for your situation.

How often should I check/clean my air filter? You should check and clean your air filters at least once a month. If they are filters that can be cleaned then they should be vacuumed off, especially if there are pets in the house.
